Tanıdık bildik bir havayolunun 737-800 SOP'undan konuyla ilgili bir bölüm ;
quote:
USE OF AIRCRAFT LIGHTING
Navigation lights will be selected on for flights scheduled to fly into darkness (During cockpit preparation)
The anti-collision light will be selected on prior to pushback and turned off when N2 decreases below 17% on shutdown.
The taxi light will be selected on when taxi clearance has been received.
If a ground engineer needs to be recalled for any reason, repeatedly turning the taxi light on and off will attract his attention.
Taxi with taxi light on unless behind " Follow Me " vehicle or under control of a marshaller.
Do not use any other lighting, which may blind other ground traffic, except for momentary illumination to provide extra lighting.
When taxiing onto stand (park position) at night, as the taxi light is switched off the Co-Pilot will select the wing light on. The wing light should remain on until flaps have been selected and clear of the ramp area during taxi out.
Runway turn off lights should be selected on when cleared onto the active runway.
They should be switched off when passing FL100 (10,000) in the climb. During descent passing FL100 (10,000) select the turn-off lights on until clearing the active runway. For backtrack purposes leave turn-off lights on.
Landing lights should be selected on only when cleared for take-off.
They will remain on until passing FL100 (10,000), select the landing lights on again descending through FL100 (10,000) and leave them on until the runway is vacated. For backtrack purposes leave landing lights on. Outboard landing lights should be used at Commander's discretion, except when a bird hazard is reported or may exist, and then their use becomes mandatory. It should be noted that due to extra drag, the outboard landing lights should be switched off at an early point during the climb once bird activity areas have been cleared.
At the Commander's discretion, the outboard landing lights may be switched on at 500' AGL during the approach phase. During departures/arrivals to and from busy terminal areas, at the Commander's discretion all lighting may be used.
Strobe lights will be switched on when cleared to enter the active runway, and will remain on until vacating the active runway. For backtracking purposes the strobes will be left on.
During low visibility approaches and when in cloud, if reflection of the strobes causes a distraction it is recommended to switch them off.
Dome light will be switched on during cockpit preparation if dusk or darkness is present. This light will remain illuminated until the pushback is complete and the marshaller has displayed the pin and given the all clear.
It is recommended during thunderstorm activity with frequent lightning to turn all cockpit lights to their bright position and lower the cockpit seats.
Flight Deck lighting
When the flight is scheduled to operate into darkness, all panel lighting should be selected to maximum brightness and progressively reduced with the onset of darkness.
During daylight hours it is recommended that the Commanders instrument lights be on max. Brightness, so that the fuel gauges are illuminated, and the possibility of them being misread is reduced. The same procedure is recommended for the centre panel lighting to avoid miss setting of VHF NAV + RADIO frequencies.
Ground Lighting - Transit flights
If the transit checklist is used the Co-Pilot should select the wheel well light on, confirming the wing light is on, in preparation for the walkaround. On return to the cockpit after completing the walkaround the wheel well light should be switched off. Wing light will remain on until taxiing out, after flaps have been selected and when clear of the ramp area.
Logo Light
Light should be used from dusk until dawn during the entire time the flight crew are at the aircraft.
The flight crew should turn on the light either when arriving at the aircraft during this time, or when darkness approaches. The light may be turned off at sunrise or after the flight (if it is known that the aircraft will not depart again immediately).
