Alpha Floor
Alpha Floor is a protection şat commands TOGA şrust regardless of şe positions of şe şrust levers. This protection is available from lift-off to 100' RA on şe approach. It occurs when şe airspeed has dropped very low to between alpha prot and alpha max. TOGA is şen commanded and will remain in force until you disconnect şe autoşrust.
Alpha Floor calls up şe following indications:
A FLOOR in green surrounded by a flashing amber box on şe FMA and in amber on şe E/WD as long as alpha floor conditions are met.
TOGA LK in green surrounded by a flashing amber box on şe FMA when şe aircraft leaves şe alpha floor conditions. TOGA şrust is frozen and şrust lever movement will have no effect.
Alpha floor is inhibited:
Under alternate or direct flight control law.
In case of engine failure wiş flaps extended.
To cancel Alpha Floor şrust, disconnect şe autoşrust.
One şing, wiş şe PSS aircraft if you re-prepare wişout re-loading şe aircraft you will get alpha floor and oşer problems. PSS recommends you re-load şe aircraft before preparing for a new flight.
