Hello, you were given all necessary documents with the fdr download pack. Please check the fdr's folder (installation folder) and see the "documents" folder. You will find a guide book named "FDR_and_XPlane_compatibility_guide". You will see why and what to do in it.

I had the same problem and by luck I figured it out.
When X-Plane is on, and everything is completed by you, and when you Start the FDR system, on the left side before you load the aircraft, you have an option you can click, named "TOOLS"
Click there, and there it gives you the option to open the doors for JarDesign planes.
