mottoth@yahoo.fr!!! REQUIRES LTBA 2008 v1.21 scenery : ltba_2008_v1.21.zip @ avsim !!!
Installation: *** READ CAREFULLY ALL 3 STEPS ***
------------
1. Download and install the following generic library: ez-tmark.zip (AVSIM)
2. Delete or backup any previous LTBA AFCAD file you have. Copy all 'OFF' files (LTBA_ADE9_YB*.BGL.OFF) in your FS9/Addon Scenery/scenery folder, or wherever you want as long as you create the appropriate entry in FS9 scenery.cfg file.
3. Get the weather information for your flight. Activate one of the BGL removing the .OFF extension, according to the wind true heading reported in the METAR:
LTBA_ADE9_YB_030-080.BGL: To be used when winds are blowind from the 030°-080° range.
- Landing: Rwy 05
- Takeoff: Rwy 36R
LTBA_ADE9_YB_090-140.BGL: To be used when winds are blowind from the 090°-140° range.
- Landing: Rwy 18L
- Takeoff: Rwy 05 & 18R
LTBA_ADE9_YB_150-260.BGL: To be used when winds are blowind from the 150°-260° range.
- Landing: Rwy 23 & 18L
- Takeoff: Rwy 18R
LTBA_ADE9_YB_270-320.BGL: To be used when winds are blowind from the 270°-320° range.
- Landing: Rwy 23 & 36R
- Takeoff: Rwy 36L
LTBA_ADE9_YB_330-020.BGL: To be used when winds are blowind from the 330°-020° range.
- Landing: Rwy 36R
- Takeoff: Rwy 36L & 05
When wind is reported CALM (00000KT) I recommend LTBA_ADE9_YB_270-320.BGL, with simultaneous approaches.
For light winds from 090-140° (<5KT) the "150-260" configuration may be prefered over "090-140" (simultaneous approaches).
FYI the 'controlling runways' are 18s/36s in all files.
If you don't care about crosswind runway activation or if you're scared by such complexity then just use the simplified one:
LTBA_ADE9_YB.BGL: FS9 stock runway ops. Depending on the wind:
-Rwy 05/23 active for takeoff & landing (expect looooong takeoff queues...)
OR
-Rwy 18L/36R for landing, Rwy 18R/36L for takeoff
Features:
--------
- Taxiway designators updated, taxi signs added.
- Runway 06/24 renumbered 05/23 (WEF 30JUL10) and stretched. Displaced THR for runway 05.
- Approach code revised, new approaches written for runway 05/23.
- Rapid exits E2, E3 & E6 added to runway 05/23.
- Tower frequencies updated (118.10 & 118.57)
- Parking sizes & codes revised, up to AIG standards.
- Runway 18R/36L closed for landing.
- Tyre marks added on TDZ runways 05/23/18L/36R.
- Complex crosswind runway activation as detailed above.
Known Issues/Limitations:
-----------------------
- Due to terrain limitations, runway 05/23 is only 2510 meters long instead of the actual 2600 meters.
- Landing traffic on 18L/36R may find queuing aircraft for 18R/36L at runway threshold.
