On February 25th at 10:31, while preparing to approach the runway at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, flight TK 1951 from Istanbul made a crash landing along the A9 motorway near the Rottepolderplein in the village of Haarlemmerliede. At least nine people were killed and injuring more than 50, 25 seriously, Dutch airport authorities have said. The Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which was carrying 128 passengers and seven crew members, broke into three sections upon impact.

Our thoughts are with the victims and their families and friends.

Due to this tragic event it is not allowed to execute an emergency in the Amsterdam FIR until March 5th.
